St. Valentines Day

I thought I would dedicate this weeks blog to Love and the many splendored things. Let us consider what it is all about, this crazy thing called Love, it can make you laugh it can make you cry, but there is no denying it can give you the greatest feeling ever to share it with someone who really cares. Amidst the flowers and heart shaped chocolates there has to be a reason for wanting to give these gifts of adoration, (consider caveman giving a mammoth tooth to his love…aww) although they may not seem like much, the message is clear, here is something from my heart to yours. But what about afterwards? After the offerings have been made? How do we follow up on this initial outpouring of admiration? It is said that a good relationship is about maintenance, to make something work well it must be well taken care of, (For you fellas out there think a good running vehicle needs oil changes and tune ups.) consistent reminders that the admiration is still there. Not necessarily in the form of gifts, although getting stuff is always fun, but in little terms of endearment. A surprise hug, a third-eye kiss, or even a wink and a smile, can all relay the fact that you still care and admire your true love. A simple good morning text or a kissy face emoji during the day shows your paramour they are still in your thoughts throughout the day, now, no one needs to be a poet to write a small “hey good lookin” just to break the monotony of someones day. The little things mean a lot

I was at an event recently and watched an older married couple dance, I was amazed to see how they kept in rhythm after years of dancing together, but it was what kept them dancing that way that inspired this blog….you may stumble and step on one anothers toes from time to time, but keep dancing, in time you will find yourselves in perfect rhythm. Namaste.
